Durgapur: Due to not receiving salary for four months, temporary employees have protested fiercely by blocking the gate of Durgapur Chemicals Factory. When the police came to remove the protesting protesters, the protesters surrounded the police and became furious, during which the protesters also chased away a company official. In December 2019, the production of Durgapur Chemicals Factory under the state government was stopped. About 158 ​​temporary workers work here to maintain the factory property. The complaint is that even after four months the salary was not received and in the end the workers sat with their families in front of the factory gate. On Friday, when the police of Coke Oven police station came to the factory gate to throw out the manager of a private company inside the plant from the company vehicle, the temporary workers got enraged. The protesters surrounded the police and chased away the company manager. The workers were warned that the gate would remain blocked until their salaries were paid. The Trinamool leadership has appealed to them to have faith in the Chief Minister, while the BJP has raised its voice.
