Union Home Minister Amit Shah reaches Bengal on three-day visit, warm welcome
Kolkata, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Bengal on a three-day visit amid the hearing of the ongoing SIR process before the West Bengal Assembly elections. BJP leaders gave him a warm welcome at Kolkata Airport. Apart from this, when he reached BJP office, he was given a warm welcome outside the office also. Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Kolkata on a 3-day visit to West Bengal. Late on Monday evening, party workers gave him a warm welcome outside the BJP office at Muralidhar Lane in Kolkata. Flowers were showered on Amit Shah's car. Slogans of Amit Shah Zindabad and Bharatiya Janata Party Zindabad were raised. This visit of Amit Shah is being considered important in view of the Bengal Assembly elections 2026. A senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said that Amit Shah reached Kolkata's Dumdum airport at around 7:25 pm. From here he directly reached the BJP office, where he will take stock of the party's organizational preparations for the assembly elections. Amit Shah is also expected to hold a press conference in Kolkata on Tuesday. Amit Shah is also likely to hold several meetings with BJP workers. According to the BJP leader, the Union Home Minister will hold a closed-door meeting with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) officials. Apart from this, he will hold a separate meeting with BJP MLAs, MPs and councilors of Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
