Due to this, extreme chaos is created in the station. Asha workers across the state raised several demands demanding minimum salary of Rs 15 thousand, recognition of government health workers, compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those who died while on duty and all other allowances to be paid. They are observing worklessness across the state for 30 consecutive days. Due to fear of unrest during the operation, tight security arrangements have been made at Swasthya Bhavan, Chhindwara. When their bus was stopped by the police at the left turn of National Highway No. 16, they started protesting by sitting on the road. Asha workers were asked to go to Rajkot Swasthya Bhavan at Banpur station on Wednesday to discuss their claims. On Wednesday morning, when ASHA workers went to catch the train at Asansol station, West Bengal Police and GRP jointly stopped them. BJP state leader Krishnandu Mukherjee said that ASHA workers were called to Swasthya Bhavan to discuss their demands, hence when they went to catch the train in the morning, West Bengal Police and GRP jointly stopped them. Since then, they have sat in protest. West Bengal government is trying to stop various public movements with police administration and BJP will be on their side.
