Second conference of the 'Awaaz' organization held in Kulti's Niamatpur, strong message of movement to protect the rights of linguistic minorities

The second conference of 'Awaaz', an organization vocal about securing the constitutional demands of linguistic and socially backward minorities, was held with great grandeur. This important conference was organized on Sunday at a private auditorium adjacent to the Niamatpur petrol pump in Kulti, under the Asansol industrial region. The main objective of this organization is to protect the fundamental rights of various linguistic minorities scattered across West Bengal and to stand by them against injustice.
Central and local leaders of the organization present at today's conference raised their voices demanding that no Indian citizen or eligible person should be harassed during the correction of national identity cards, voter list revisions, and various recent administrative processes, and that no one's name should be unnecessarily omitted from the lists. In particular, a demand was made for a permanent solution to the administrative and social complexities faced by the linguistic minority communities who have been living in the Asansol-Kulti industrial region for a long time. A blueprint for building a state-wide movement to achieve their justice and social rights was prepared at this conference.
Along with reviewing the past work of the organization, future programs for the days ahead were discussed in detail at the conference. Additionally, with the aim of making the organization stronger and better organized at the grassroots level, a new full-fledged Kulti town committee of 'Awaaz' was formed and the names of new representatives were announced. The top leadership of the organization expressed hope that this newly formed committee will play a leading role in protecting the democratic rights of the general public in the coming days.
