Nirbhik Bangla, Ukhra: After being missing for three days, the mysterious dead body of a young man was finally recovered from a well in front of his house. On Sunday morning, this tragic incident created a massive sensation and a shadow of grief in the Khadpara area of Ukhra under Andal police station in West Bardhaman district. The deceased youth was identified as Sashti Bouri (35). He was a daily wage laborer by profession, and his sudden death has raised several questions among his family and local residents.
According to details received from the family, Sashti Bouri had left home two days ago on last Friday. Due to his profession, he had to work as a daily laborer in various places and occasionally stayed away from home at night for work. Therefore, family members initially thought that he might be delayed in returning home due to work commitments. However, when there was no response and he did not return home even after a considerable amount of time, anxiety naturally began to mount. Following this, the family members started searching for him among relatives, neighbors, and acquaintances. Despite announcements via microphone and searches in various places, no trace of him was found.
Finally, ending all waiting, a tragic scene came to light on Sunday morning. When some local residents went to draw water from a well in front of the house, they noticed something floating in the water. Upon going closer, they realized it was a decomposed human body. Within moments, this news spread through the entire area like wildfire, and curious and panicked people gathered around the well.
Understanding the gravity of the situation, the Ukhra outposts police were informed immediately. Upon receiving the news, a large police force from the Ukhra outpost under Andal police station quickly arrived at the scene. With the initial prompt action of the police, with the help of the fire department or local people, the body was retrieved from the well. Afterwards, the police recovered the body, prepared an inquest report, and sent it to Asansol District Hospital for post-mortem.
However, the biggest question raised in this incident is how Sashti Bouri fell into that well. Intense speculation has begun in the area as to whether this was merely an accident or if there is some other mystery or criminal intent behind it. Family members claim that there could be a deep mystery behind this death. The police have registered an unnatural death case examining all aspects, and investigating officers are now eagerly awaiting the final post-mortem report to uncover the actual cause of death.
