Nirbhik Bengali, Durgapur: In view of the upcoming assembly elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee clarified her strong position on the employment of local unemployed people in a public meeting held at the Chaturanga Maidan in the city center of Durgapur. He told from the stage that one of the main goals of the government will be to ensure employment opportunities for the local youth. He mentions that he has heard complaints of depriving the local people by bringing in workers from outside. The Chief Minister warns that if anyone is involved in such activities, be it party or anyone else, no immunity will be given against them. He further said, if Kabi Dutt wins Durgapur West Center and Pradeep Mazumdar wins Durgapur East Centre, the issue of employment will get top priority. In this context, Kavi Dutt said that even in his election campaign, the issue of employment of local people got special importance, and the Chief Minister's speech further strengthened that commitment. It is noteworthy that this public meeting is organized in support of Durgapur East candidate Pradeep Majumdar and Durgapur West candidate Kabi Dutt, where a huge crowd can be seen.
