Fearless Bengali, Kolkata: On the day of voting for the first phase of elections in Kolkata, a protest program was organized against the glasses manufacturing company Lenskart under the initiative of All India Hindu Mahasabha. This program is carried out by raising allegations against the organization of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindu workers. Party's Taliganj center candidate and state president Dr. Under the leadership of Chandrachur Goswami, workers went to several Lenskart showrooms in South Kolkata and took out symbolic programs like applying tilak on their heads and tying religious threads on their hands. Besides, Prasad of Kalighat temple is distributed among the employees. As part of the protest programme, leaflets were distributed expressing anger against the organization's co-founder P.Y. Bansal and consumers were asked to boycott the organization's products. It has been claimed by Hindu Mahasabha that this protest will continue until there is no public apology from the organization. But it has been informed by the organization that their protest is not against the employees of the company, but against the policy of the organization. The leadership claims that this program is for the protection of religious rights of the workers. Many state leaders including Anamika Mandal, Srimant Palit, Priyobrata Mukherjee, Soma De Mandal, Sutapa Das, Manoj Chatterjee and Debanarayan Ghosh were present in this day's programme.
