Asansol: Festive fervor has gripped the entire industrial belt. On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the whole of Asansol and its adjoining industrial city are immersed in the worship of Lord Ganesha. Like every year, Ganesh Puja has been organized with great pomp and grandeur in various areas of Burnpur. On Sunday, the auspicious inauguration of several puja pandals, including Puranahat in Burnpur, took place. Leader Agnimitra Paul was present at the auspicious inaugural ceremony and formally inaugurated the pandals.
She inaugurated the pandals traditionally by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp. She then offered floral tributes to the idol of Lord Ganesha, performed aarti, and offered prayers. She prayed to the deity for the happiness, peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Asansol and the entire region. Standing on the inaugural stage, she highly praised the hard work and beautiful arrangements made by the organizers of the puja committee.
A festive atmosphere was created in the entire Burnpur area, including Puranahat, surrounding the inaugurations. The presence of local residents and devotees was remarkable. Along with the general public, immense enthusiasm and excitement were observed among the puja organizers as well. In several puja pandals, special cultural programs and competitions have been organized for the general public during the puja days. The pandals and lighting arrangements have been adorned with artistic finesse. Keeping the safety of visitors in mind, necessary security measures have been strengthened at the puja pandals. All in all, Burnpur is reveling in new joy centered around the worship of Lord Ganesha.
