Asansol: Congress's trade union organization INTUC organized a district conference at Gujarat Bhawan in Asansol. Present at the conference were INTUC State President সৈয়দ আতিফ শান, দৈয়দ Mohammad Ahsan, Congress Councilor S. M. Mustafa, District President of Congress Minority Cell Firoz Khan along with many leaders and members of the organization. The conference discussed the role of INTUC in the upcoming Bengal Assembly elections. Syed Atif Shah said, Congress High Command's decision to contest the elections alone is the right step. His claim is that the organizational strength of Bengali Congress is increasing and the support of common people is increasing. He said that Congress and its trade unions have always worked in the interest of workers and common people and the same trend will continue in future. Mohammed Ahsan also single-handedly supported the decision to contest the elections. According to him, this decision is proof of the party's strength in the state. Firoz Khan said, the decision of the top leadership has created new enthusiasm among the party workers. He said, Congress will give a tough fight in the upcoming elections in Asansol, Uttar, Kulti, Jamuriya and Raniganj areas. Leaders claim that Congress will play an important role in the upcoming assembly elections.
