Burnpur, Saturday: At the honor ceremony organized by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) at Bharati Bhawan in Burnpur, the contribution of laborers was recognized, highlighting their role in nation-building. The event was attended by key guests including BJP MLA Krishnendu Mukherjee from Asansol North Assembly, MLA Arjit Roy from Barabani Assembly, BJP leader Abhijit Roy, and Bappa Chatterjee.
In his address, MLA Krishnendu Mukherjee stated that the loyalty, hard work, and dedication of laborers are the true strength of the nation's progress. He said, "Honoring laborers is honoring the nation. Empowered laborers are the strong foundation of a self-reliant India." He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and laborers for the affectionate welcome and respect extended to him during the event.
During the program, BMS officials and members honored all the chief guests with bouquets. Subsequently, speakers from the stage shared their thoughts on laborers' rights, their welfare, and the need to ensure a safe and dignified work environment.
A large number of laborers, BMS activists, and local dignitaries attended the event. Throughout the program, the message of laborer unity, respect, and the resolve for a self-reliant India prominently emerged.
