The once simple station is now getting a new look with modern architecture. Extensive developmental work has already started at the station. Lifts and escalators are being installed for the convenience of passengers, which will make travel much easier for senior citizens and specially abled passengers. The connectivity system of the platforms is also being improved. Various parts of the station including the entrance, waiting hall are being renovated. There are good quality toilets, good drinking water facilities and modern lighting. Besides, CCTV surveillance is being increased keeping passenger safety in mind. According to the local residents, this development will also have a positive impact on the economy of the area in future as Garhveta is important from tourism and commercial point of view.
