Fearless Bengali: The Supreme Court of the country gave a historic verdict in favor of state government employees in DA case. Your Honor, the Supreme Court has clearly stated – Maharhar Bhatta (DA) is not a grant, it is a legal and fundamental right of the employees. Through this judgment, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Dhyay's statement was proved wrong, where he had repeatedly said - "DA is not the right of the employees." After a long wait and many years of continuous struggle, the state government employees finally got recognition of their just rights. Tribunal to Calcutta High Court – Despite winning one legal battle after another, the state government has refused to give the senior allowance to the employees. Rather, crores of rupees have been spent and renowned lawyers of the country have been appointed, only to deprive the employees of their fair rights. Apart from this, police lathi charge was also carried out on the agitating employees. Yet the state government employees did not lose patience. They have fulfilled their responsibilities and have continued to fight without any opposition in the legal path, having faith in the judicial system of the country. Today's verdict is not just a case verdict - This is the victory of the combined struggle of the state government employees. I have deep respect for his steadfast fight for just rights.
