According to the Central Health Ministry, it will cost Rs 250 per dose for the general public to get Covid vaccine in a private hospital. Since double doses have to be taken in both Covishield and Covaxin, the total cost of taking two doses of the vaccine will be Rs 500. But a service charge of Rs 100 may also be levied along with it, it is being claimed from another source.Since the start of vaccination across the country on January 16, the Center has been providing vaccination to doctors, health workers and frontline workers in two phases. The third phase of vaccination will start from March 1st. The government will provide the vaccine to those above 60 years and those with diabetes between 45-59 years. This vaccine will be available in government hospitals by enrolling through the COVID-19 portal. But if someone wants to bypass the government process and get the vaccine directly from a private institution, that door has been opened by the government. This step of the Union Health Ministry is very significant. Especially when the possibility of a second wave of infection is visible, many people are thinking of taking the vaccine immediately. But, that was not possible till now. Because the government released the vaccine in the open market. But this time that wait is ending. Another notable thing is that its price has been kept within the means of the middle class and lower middle class society of the country.
