Agnimitra Pal attacks government after finding health center closed, TMC responds

Asansol: West Bengal Asansol South BJP MLA Agnimitra Pal visited Nupur Health Center in her assembly constituency on Thursday. When she reached the health center at around 12:40 pm, she found it locked, on which she expressed surprise and targeted the state government. Agnimitra Pal said that today is March 12 and it is neither a national holiday nor any government holiday, yet the health center was found closed. He raised the question that who will answer this? Taking a dig at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he said that she often says that under her leadership, Bengal is progressing in every field. Agnimitra Pal asked whether this is an example of development? Do the people and children of this area not fall ill, and if they do, how will they be treated in the closed health centre. The legislator said that after a few weeks, when the results of the assembly elections in West Bengal will come and the BJP government will be formed, then the people of the state as well as the region will get all the facilities. He said that then health centers will not remain closed and poor people will get proper treatment, medicines and good governance. However, on this issue, Deputy Head of Ballabhpur Panchayat Sidan Mandal rejected the allegations of Agnimitra Pal. He said that more than four years had passed, why did the MLA not come here till then. Now that elections are near, she is doing such tours just to be in the limelight. Sidan Mandal told that today a health check-up camp is going on in a local club of the area, due to which the health center employees have gone there. The health center will be reopened as soon as the camp is over. He also said that Nupur Health Center is open every day and is closed only on Sundays. The health workers here regularly provide medical services to the local people. He alleged that Agnimitra Pal is making such statements only for political purposes, but the people of the area understand the truth and will not be misled by her this time too.
