Urban Development Minister Agnimitra Paul inaugurates ICDS centre in Burnpur, Asansol

With the objective of bringing women and child development and social welfare services closer to the common people, State Minister for Municipal Affairs and Urban Development Agnimitra Paul officially inaugurated a new ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) centre in Burnpur, Asansol, within the Paschim Bardhaman district. Held in the Shyambandh area of Burnpur, the inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent local personalities, along with Paschim Bardhaman District Magistrate S. Ponnabalom and other senior administration officials. It is believed that the launch of this new centre will mark a massive step forward in ensuring healthcare services for pregnant women, nursing mothers, and malnourished children in the local area.
According to reports, in addition to inaugurating the ICDS centre, Minister Agnimitra Paul also personally inspected another ICDS centre and a local community hall located in the Rambandh area of Burnpur. During the inspection, she closely examined the infrastructure and services there and interacted with the mothers and children present. Keeping in mind the long-standing demands of the local residents and the existing infrastructural flaws, the minister assured that the Rambandh ICDS centre and the community hall would soon be completely modernized and renovated. Through this modernization, the general public of Burnpur will be able to avail better and enhanced facilities.
While attending the event, Urban Development Minister Agnimitra Paul delivered a detailed speech regarding the implementation of various public welfare and developmental works by the state government. She stated that reaching the light of development to marginalized people is the primary goal of the government. On the other hand, District Magistrate S. Ponnabalom placed special emphasis on ensuring the rapid progress of all developmental works from an administrative standpoint. Conscious local citizens and the intellectual society believe that the renovation of the ICDS centres and the launch of this new centre will significantly strengthen the overall health and nutrition services in the Burnpur area.
Facing the media, State Minister for Municipal Affairs and Urban Development Agnimitra Paul and Paschim Bardhaman District Magistrate S. Ponnabalom shared their positive reactions regarding the matter. Both of them stated that the administration is always proactive in improving the living standards of the common people, and this trend of implementing such people-oriented projects will continue in the days to come.
