But before that, signs of election preparations have started in different parts of the state. The wind of campaign has already started around the name of sitting MLA and Trinamool Congress leader Vidhan Upa Dhyay in Barabani Assembly constituency of West Bengal district. The slogan is visible through wall writing in many areas of Salanpur block – “2026-A Bordha Vidhan Upa Dhyay” Local Trinamool Congress leaders and workers claim that Mr. Vidhan is deeply involved with the emotions of the common people. Be it industrial areas or rural areas, he has worked consistently on the problems of people everywhere and there is widespread support for him among the common people. Their claim is that a large section of the area residents want Vidhan Upadhyaya to be the centre's candidate in the upcoming assembly elections. On the other hand, the BJP leadership took a dig at this wall writing and the upcoming campaign. According to him, such premature publicity is indicative of political dead thinking.
