Asansol, West Vandaman Keeping in view the assembly elections of 2026, the trend of party change in the politics of West Bengal is increasing. Especially Kulti assembly constituency of Asansol is now the center point of political exercise. Two days ago, under the leadership of BJP State President Shamik Bhattacharya, 'Parivartan Yatra' was organized in Kulti assembly area. In that meeting, it was claimed that more than 500 workers of various parties, including influential TMC leader Bireshwar Acharya, should join the BJP. This is being hailed as a major political success by the BJP and claimed to be a major blow to the ruling party All India Trinamool Congress. But just two days later, Trinamool Congress demonstrated strength in the same area. In a meeting organized under the leadership of State Minister Malay Ghatak, it is claimed that about 350 workers from BJP and other parties joined the TMC. According to sources, after the BJP conference, the TMC state leadership instructed the district leadership to further strengthen the organization. Since then, efforts to attract opposition party workers into the party started by intensifying the member collection campaign. According to political analysts, the two main political parties are trying to strengthen their organizations in view of the upcoming assembly elections. As a result, this trend of changing parties in Kulti and Asansol industrial area may continue in the future also. Now it remains to be seen how much impact this political tension will have on the voting results.
