Nirbheek Bengali, Samudragarh, 27 April 2026: Just two days before the elections, political tension reached its peak in Samudragarh of East Vandaman district. On Monday, a massive clash took place between All India Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party workers. Many workers from both sides were injured in this. According to local sources, as per the pre-planned programme, a huge crowd of BJP was moving towards the seagull. Allegedly, in front of the party office of Trinamool Congress in Nasratpur area, some workers kept shouting slogans like 'জয় বাংলা' and pelted bricks at the crowd. Then the situation became heated and BJP workers launched a counter attack. A fierce scuffle and fight begins between the two parties. After receiving the news, Nadanghat police station and central forces reached the spot and brought the situation under control. TMC's Amal Haldar and Sansha Ali Shaikh were injured in the clash. On the other hand, BJP's Amal Das got injured. It is said that the injured have been admitted to Kalna Mahakuma Hospital. Trinamool Congress alleges that its workers were sitting in the party office when BJP workers launched an additional attack. Their claim is that a large number of BJP supporters attack a small number of workers. However, this allegation has been completely denied by BJP. Based on the incident, both sides have leveled allegations of inciting violence against each other. Police started investigating the entire incident.
