বেলিয়াতোড়ে দেবের সভা: “মন্দির-মসজিদ নয়, উন্নয়নই হোক নির্বাচনের ইস্যু”

Nirbheek Bengali, Beliatod, Wednesday: Actor-MP Deb strongly criticized the trend of bringing religious issues to the fore before elections. While speaking at an election meeting organized in support of Trinamool candidate Gautam Mishra of Beliatode Badjodha assembly center on Wednesday, he said, "In the present situation, it seems that there is a competition going on as to who will build how many temples or mosques. But the real issue should be development - how many schools, colleges and hospitals can be built." He complains that religious sentiments are being instigated for political interests. According to Deb, elections should be held on the basis of human development and overall welfare. He further demanded from the meeting that now people will judge him after seeing the development and on that basis he will regain power.
