Administration's strictness seen before elections, Rs 10.50 lakh cash recovered during naka checking

The administration seems to be completely alert regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Asansol, West Bengal. Under this, security arrangements have been tightened in Paschim Bardhaman district. A total of 23 Naka points have been made on the interstate and interdistrict borders of the district, where vehicles are being continuously checked. During this campaign, the police and administration team got a big success at Runakuda Ghat Naka Point of Barabani police station area at around 1 pm on Sunday afternoon. During checking, a huge amount of cash was recovered from a person. According to the police, Rs 10 lakh 50 thousand in cash was recovered from Sanjay Tiwari, a resident of Sneha Apartment located on Burnpur Road in Hirapur police station area. The recovered amount has been confiscated by the police. At present, the police is interrogating the person concerned and valid documents related to the cash are being examined. The administration says that in view of the elections, special attention is being kept on illegal cash transactions. As the elections are approaching, the strictness of the administration is increasing and every suspicious activity is being closely monitored.
