Fearless Bengali: After the Model Election Rules came into force, the District Election Administration started the work of removing banners, festoons and flags of political parties installed on government property in the Kulti Assembly area. From Wednesday onwards, monitoring has started by identifying the publicity material installed at various government poles and buildings including government establishments, said administration official Kalyan Chaudhary. He said, "We have already started monitoring. The parties concerned are being informed to remove the political banners or flags put up on government property. Otherwise, we will remove them and submit them to the DM office." It is noteworthy that the Election Commission has announced the polling day for the next 23 April in total 9 assembly constituencies of West Vandaman district including Asansol. Meanwhile, the Election Model Code of Conduct has come into effect across the state. The political circles feel that this step of the administration before the elections has sent a clear message of following the election rules.
