Fearless Bengali, Durgāpur: A widespread sensation has been created over the allegation of attack and vandalism at the house of a TMC worker in the new village area of West Bengal's Durgāpur. After receiving information about the incident, Durgapur police station reached the spot and started investigation. Allegedly, late in the night a group of ill-wishers entered Rina Rai's house carrying weapons, knives and firearms. Then they carried out extensive vandalism in a part of the house. Hearing the sound of demolition, the neighbors came running and the accused quickly left the spot and ran away. Allegedly, they left the area before the police arrived. Victim Reena Rai said that she and her family are in fear after the incident. He filed a written complaint at Durgapur police station and demanded immediate arrest of the accused and exemplary punishment. Based on the written complaint, Durgapur police station started investigating the incident. It remains to be seen what is the reason behind the attack and who is involved in this incident. But till the time of writing this report, it was not known from police sources whether anyone has been arrested in the incident. Police said that necessary legal action will be taken after examining all aspects of the complaint.
