Fearless Bengali, Durgapur, Thursday: There was widespread excitement over the traffic issue on National Highway No. 19 adjacent to the Indo-American junction in Durgapur. A heavy traffic jam was created in that area, as a result of which many trucks carrying goods got stuck. To handle the situation, passenger buses are run on detours. Allegations have been raised on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). They claimed that so that no one could reach Narendra Modi's Asansol public meeting, a traffic jam was deliberately created for people going to Asansol. BJP alleges that this step has been taken under the instructions of the ruling party. However, the Trinamool Congress leadership has completely denied this allegation. Their counter claim is that BJP has become directionless and is trying to spread confusion by raising such allegations by raising fears of possible defeat. Meanwhile, there was anger when BJP workers going to Asan got stuck in a bus jam. Then BJP workers and supporters started protesting around the traffic police. After protests and traffic jams for about half an hour, the situation came under control. Later, traffic became normal on the Asansol side lane of National Highway No. 19 adjacent to Indo-America junction.
