The family members had gone to their son's house in Kolkata for two days. On returning home on Sunday night, they found the lock of the house broken and all the belongings scattered everywhere. It is learned that Subir Chandra Ghosh, a resident of the Sherpur area and a railway employee, had gone to Kolkata with his wife two days ago. Taking advantage of the empty house, the miscreants broke the lock and entered the house, breaking the almirah and locker, and fled with cash and gold jewelry. After receiving the news of the incident, the police from the Kanksa police station reached the spot and started investigating. The police are inspecting various parts of the house and investigating to identify those involved in the theft. The victim, Subir Chandra Ghosh, claims that gold jewelry and cash worth more than Rs 50 lakh have been stolen.
