দুর্গাপুরে রাষ্ট্রায়ত্ত ব্যাঙ্কের শাখায় ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকাণ্ড, পুড়ে ছাই নথিপত্র

Durgāpur: A massive fire broke out in a branch of a state-run bank in the area adjacent to Maya Bazar of Durgāpur. Due to this incident which happened on Wednesday night, there is a fear that important documents and papers of the bank may be destroyed. There was widespread panic in the area surrounding the incident. On receiving the news, two fire engines reached the spot. Fire brigade personnel tried for about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control. Initially, fire brigade and local sources estimated that the fire could have started due to short circuit. According to local sources, on Wednesday night around 10.45 pm, residents of the area saw smoke coming out from inside the bank. Only then the police and fire brigade were informed. Fire brigade personnel quickly reached the spot and brought the fire under control. But the exact extent of damage caused by the fire remains to be seen. No news has been received yet regarding whether anyone has been injured in the incident. Police and fire departments have started investigation into the incident.
