Allegations of tearing down the posters and banners of Trinamool Congress candidate Pradeep Majumdar and writing on the wall have been leveled against BJP. The local Trinamool leadership claims that such work is being done in the dark of night to create an atmosphere of terror in the area. Their complaint is that the party flag is being renamed and efforts are being made to remove the wall writing. They also gave signals for agitation if immediate action was not taken against the accused. On the other hand, BJP has denied all the allegations. Durgapur East Centre's BJP candidate Chandrashekhar Bandyopadhyay said, "BJP does not do such things. On the contrary, TMC is renaming the BJP flag and erasing the writing on the wall." He also messaged the party workers to remain calm. There is tension in the area since Saturday morning regarding the incident. The local administration is keeping an eye on the situation.
