Police arrested Rajat Das, a resident of Shayampur Colony, Durgapur, West Bengal district. The allegation has been raised by a lady of Ghoda-Ru. According to the complaint, they came to know through the media in 2027. The accused were aware of his identity from the very beginning. Gradually a close relationship developed. Allegedly, Rajat Das took about Rs 15 lakh rupees step by step under various pretexts and said that he would start a business. The complainant did not suspect anything due to the long standing relationship of trust. In 2022, the relationship deteriorated when he asked for the money back. Unrest begins. Finally, seeing no solution, he filed a written complaint at the Cook Owen police station under the Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate. According to police sources, investigation begins based on the complaint. The accused was arrested from his house in Shayampur last night. When he was produced in the Durgapur Municipal Court today, the judge ordered four days of police custody. Investigation of the incident is going on.
