There was widespread panic in the area after the hanging body of a student was recovered from the hostel of Medical College Hospital on Saturday night. As per police sources, the name of the deceased student is লাবন্য পর্তাপ (22). He is a resident of Patna, Bihar. After receiving news of the incident, Durgapur police station reached the spot and recovered the body. Police recovered the dead body and started the post mortem process. It is reported that the body is currently being kept at IQ City Hospital. There was an uproar among students and local people regarding the incident. The police are investigating what caused this death. A case of unusual death has been registered and investigation has been started.
