দুর্গাপুর জংশন মল থেকে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো দুর্গাপুর 5K ম্যারাথন

' Nirbheek Bengali, Durgapur: Durgapur 5K Marathon was organized from Durgapur Junction Mall under the initiative of Lions Club of Durgapur and Durgapur Junction Mall, in collaboration with DSMS College and Durgapur Mohbanbagan Fans Club. Pandaveshwar MLA Narendranath Chakraborty, ADDA Chairman Kabi Dutt, actress Rituparna Basak and other eminent guests and entrepreneurs were present at the event. Entrepreneurs said that for the last two years, this marathon has been organized keeping the message of ‘Ran for Diabetes’ at the forefront. This year, 'Ran for Environment' has been associated with it, in which the message of environmental awareness is also raised. A total of 1,000 competitors took part in the men's and women's marathon categories. The prize money for first, second and third place in the two categories was fixed at Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively. Apart from this, every competitor who successfully completes the five kilometer race is given a medal and certificate. According to the organizers, such initiatives are playing an important role in increasing health awareness as well as spreading the message of responsibility towards society and environment.
