দুর্গাপুর: নির্জলা বাসস্ট্যান্ড, পঞ্চায়েতের বিরুদ্ধে ক্ষোভে ফেটে পড়লেন কাঁকসার বিষ্ণুপুরবাসী

Fearless Bengali: People of Kancsar Bishnupur area are suffering from drinking water shortage for a long time. It is alleged that the two tube wells located at Bishnupur bus stand under Mundighi Gul Punchayetar have been failing for almost a year. Despite informing the Panchayat several times, no action was taken, claim the locals. On Saturday, local residents erupted into protests in front of two Bikal tube wells. Among the protesters, Sudhamoy Ghosh and Dulal Rai alleged, "There are two tube wells at the bus stand, but they have been unused for a long time. We have appealed to the Panchayet several times to install a water tank. Nearly a thousand people use this bus stand every day - from businessmen to school students, everyone is facing problems. There is no help from the Panchayet. We are forced to join the movement. If the problem is not resolved quickly, we will take the path of a bigger movement." BJP leader Bhagirath Ghosh said sarcastically, “The people of the area have to fetch drinking water from a distance of one to two kilometers. This is the present reality.” However, the complaint was raised by the Deputy Head of Gram Panchayat, Vishwargin Chhattopa Dhaya, and the problem will be resolved very soon and arrangements for drinking water will be made.
