Nirbheek Bengali, Durgapur: The voting process for the assembly elections has officially started from Tuesday. Following the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, this time also special arrangements have been made for senior and disabled voters to take door-to-door voting. Under this initiative, about 90 people are exercising their voting rights through ballot in Kanchsa block of Durgapur East Assembly. A team of trained election workers is reaching every voter's house as per the stipulated time and completing the polling peacefully. This initiative has been taken with the aim of ensuring that no voter is deprived of voting due to physical difficulties. Central army personnel have been deployed to protect the entire process. Also, to maintain transparency, the entire voting process is being recorded through videography. According to administration sources, considerable enthusiasm has been seen among senior and specially abled voters for this system.
