The incident took place in front of Mansa Temple in Kandeshwar village of ward no. 12 of Durgapur, in Bawari Pada area. According to local sources, the work of installing solar lights was going on there on Saturday night. On receiving this news, Trinamool Congress workers-supporters reached the spot and stopped the work. Later, when the police was informed, they reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Trinamool's complaint, Lakshman Ghadhu, despite being the BJP MLA in the area for the last five years, he was not seen like that among the common people. However, attempts are being made to install solar lights in various areas in violation of the code of conduct during voting. That is why this work has been stopped, they claim. However, no response has been received so far from BJP regarding this allegation.
