Fearless Bengali: Four persons arrested with huge quantity of marijuana in police operation of Durgapur Coke Oven police station. On Wednesday afternoon, after receiving information from a secret source, a raid was conducted in Shimultala Basti area adjacent to Durgapur bus stand and three women and one man were arrested. According to police sources, a total of 31 kg and 92 grams of cannabis were recovered from the accused. Dhridra Hall Udisha resident Anita Dhuniya, Jhurdankhar resident Rosh Neelima Tigga, Sundree Kumari and Mukesh Singh. Police estimated in the preliminary investigation that there was a plan to bring the cotton from Jharkhand by bus and supply it to Durgapur. Drugs are recovered while hidden inside trolley bags and other luggage. Police claim it is part of an active inter-state drug ring. On Thursday, the accused presented an application for 7 days police protection in the Asansol district court.
