Nirbheek Bengali own correspondent, Salanpur: A cyclist died after being hit by an ICL Hydra car. This tragic accident took place at 8.30 am on Wednesday in the Fulbediya Hanuman Mandir transport road area under Nagad Salanpur police station. After the incident, excitement spread in the area. Angry locals joined the protest by holding the dead body and the dead vehicle. According to local sources, the name of the deceased is Mangal Bauri (৩৫). Although he was a resident of Zemari village, he lived in Phulbediya area as Gharjamai. The family consists of wife and two children. According to family and locals, Mangal Baur was going to work on a bicycle in a private factory on Wednesday morning like every day. At that time, his bicycle broke down in the middle of the road and he was returning towards Fulbediyar's house. Allegedly, an ECL Hydra vehicle (WB 38AS 5568) hit him on the transport road adjacent to the Hanuman Temple. He died on the spot. The allegation is that the driver leaves the car and runs away after the accident. Then the local people came running and intercepted the killer vehicle and started protesting by placing the dead body on the road. Their demand is that the movement will continue until appropriate compensation is not given to the family of the deceased. After receiving news of the incident, Salanpur police station and central forces reached the spot and tried to bring the situation under control. According to local residents, several accidents have already occurred on this transportation road. They claim that ICL's unsafe transport system and incompetent drivers are causing frequent accidents. Allegedly, in many cases, dumpers and heavy vehicles were driven empty, resulting in incidents of loss of life. However, till now no response has been received from ICL regarding the entire incident.
