আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবসে কংগ্রেস কার্যালয়ে আলোচনা সভা

Asansol: On the occasion of International Women's Day, Women's Day is celebrated through a discussion meeting at the party office of the National Congress on 8 March. Various women workers including state leader of Mahila Congress Priyanka Sarkar were present at the event. Also present were state leader Prasenaji Pitundi, Asansol Municipal Congress Councilor S. M. Sakkara including other workers of the team - support. While speaking at the event, Priyanka Sarkar said, International Women's Day was recognized in 1975 and since then importance has been given to giving respect and equal opportunities to women as well as men. He said that the thinking about more opportunities and protection for women in various government and private institutions started from that time. He also commented that at present many women in workplaces work night shifts. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the state government to ensure their security, he mentioned. In this context, he emphasizes on creating an environment for women to work independently.
