Nirbhik Bengali, Shyam Das, Asansol: On the occasion of the annual fair organized on the occasion of Mahashivaratri in Niyamatpur area of West Vandaman district, various shops as well as book stalls have been opened by political parties. Accordingly, under the initiative of CPI(M) Group 1 Area Committee, 'Progress Book Store' was inaugurated on Tuesday night at around 9 pm. CPI(M)'s West Bengal District Editor Gouranga Chatterjee was present as the chief guest at the inaugural event. Also present were local leaders Deband Prasad, Ashok Shao, Rafat Parvez, Jaffad Ansari, Vinod Singh, Mohammad Jahangir and other workers and supporters. According to the organizers, the main objective of this book stall is to make progressive literature and various books available to the common people coming to the fair. The stall will remain open every day during the fair.
