For this purpose, an important security coordination meeting is organized at the head office of ICL located in Sanctodhiya area of ​​Asansol. Security officers from various areas of the organization were present in the meeting. The main objective of the meeting was to further strengthen the security system to curb illegal activities like coal theft and illegal mining. The ECL authority has given clear instructions that legal action should be taken against such crimes by filing an FIR immediately, so that strict action can be taken against the criminals. To further modernize the security system, special emphasis has been laid on increasing surveillance through drones in mining areas and sensitive areas. Use of modern technology will make the security system more effective, officials said. Apart from this, it has been decided to strengthen coordination with the local police administration and village committee to quickly receive information about illegal activities and take action. It was also informed in the meeting that active surveillance, public awareness and strict law enforcement should be adopted as the main basis of future security strategy. ECI management has given a clear message that they are working on 'zero tolerance' policy against coal theft and illegal mining. Security arrangements will be further strengthened to protect national assets and ensure responsible mine management.
