TMC supporter in elections, now a new move in BJP regime? Serious questions raised on Parimal over sand trade

Asansol, During the West Bengal Assembly elections 2026, discussions have once again intensified in political and business circles regarding Parimal, a businessman allegedly involved in illegal sand business. Various sources claim that during the elections, he had raised huge amount of money through illegal sand mining and smuggling from the Damodar river area in Suryanagar, under the patronage of an influential Trinamool leader of Asansol area, which was allegedly used in political activities. According to sources, at present Parimal's name is being linked to a valid sand ghat of Ajay river located in Churulia of Jamudiya police station area. There is talk that he is professionally associated with ghat operator Ganesh Nandi. It is also being said in the local political circles that after the change of power, he is trying to increase his closeness with the political parties and leaders against whom he was active during the elections. Experts say that Parimal had allegedly tried to contact some BJP leaders and public representatives to start sand business again in Suryanagar area. However, there has been no official confirmation of these claims. Some sources also allege that the money earned from illegal sand business was used to create properties in the name of relatives and close people. Apart from this, it is also being discussed that preparations are going on for new activities regarding sand business in the coastal areas of Damodar river of Hirapur police station area, especially in Tatultalla area. Sources claim that Parimal may play a role behind the scenes in this possible business, although no public document or official statement has come to the fore in support of these allegations. Political analysts believe that if there is truth in these allegations then an impartial investigation should be conducted by the concerned agencies. On the other hand, there has been no response to these allegations from Parimal or its associated parties.
