Barabani: On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, the Barabani Mandal-1 of the Bharatiya Janata Party organized a colorful procession on Monday.
The procession started from the Vivekananda Gramin Library in Domohani market and ended at the BJP party office near Barabani rail gate. The presence of party workers and supporters was seen in large numbers in the procession.
Barabani MLA Arjit Roy, BJP leader Swapan Roy, Bikash Bauri, women leader Deepti Mukherjee, and Dolon Nayak, among other leaders, were present at the event.
At the end of the event, the BJP party flag was hoisted in the area adjacent to the Domohani market taxi stand. Alongside, MLA Arjit Roy inaugurated a newly constructed toilet for the convenience of local residents by cutting the ribbon.
According to the organizers, the main objective of the event was to remember Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee's ideals and career, as well as to convey the message of being with the common people through public service programs.
