Wearing saffron robes does not make one a BJP member, controversy surrounds Vijay Singh in Barabani over political debate

Recently, a heated discussion has started in the political circles after some people wearing saffron look and saffron attire were seen identifying themselves as supporters of BJP. This incident has raised questions about Vijay Singh, a resident of Salanpur block. Local sources claim that some time back he was also associated with Trinamool Congress. Besides, his name is also said to have cropped up in the allegation of extorting money from tourists at the Left Bank Picnic Spot of Maithon Dam. However, no government document or administrative statement came forward regarding this allegation. A section of BJP claims that no one should follow the ideals of BJP just by wearing saffron hair or saffron clothes. His words, belief in political ideals and programs determine the identity of a true worker. Meanwhile, it is being claimed in the locality that Vijay Singh had taken pictures with BJP leader Abhiji Rai. Later, questions were raised about his political identity and he was identified as a Trinamool worker. Various speculations have spread in the area around this incident. On the other hand, an investigation has started regarding an alleged statement by Vijay Singh. It is being claimed that he had filed a complaint against Bhola Singh for extortion there. But it was not possible to independently verify the authenticity of that statement. Note that no official response to these allegations has been received yet from Vijay Singh or any other party concerned.
