Asansol, West Bengal BJP leader Krishna Prasad conducted a public relations campaign with his supporters in the vegetable, fruit and fish market located in ward number 44 of Asansol Municipal Corporation. He started the tour by offering prayers at Mahabir Sthan temple and seeking blessings. After this he reached the market area and met shopkeepers and local people.
During this, Krishna Prasad distributed BJP's election pamphlets to the shopkeepers and also asked for suggestions to make West Bengal a developing state. He listened to various problems of the market and assured that if BJP government is formed, concrete steps will be taken to solve these problems.
During the public relations campaign, he also raised slogans in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Naveen and State President Shamik Bhattacharya.
Krishna Prasad alleged that the current Trinamool government in the state is pushing the state towards backwardness instead of development. He said that the number of educated unemployed in the state is continuously increasing and people have to migrate to other states in search of employment. He also raised issues like women's safety, corruption and lack of basic facilities.
He said that “if the BJP government is formed in the state, Bengal will be established as a strong and developing state, where youth will get employment, women will get security and general public will get better basic facilities.”
Local workers and supporters of BJP were present in large numbers in this public relations campaign.
