Later he spoke to Amarnath Chattopadhyay, Chairman of Asansol Municipal Corporation. He assured quick resolution of the problem. Later BJP leaders contacted Major Vidhan Upa Dhyay. It is known that within about half an hour the mayor himself called and looked into the matter and within about an hour arrangements were made to restart the water supply. After solving the problem, he thanked BJP leader Krishna Prasad Mayor and praised his initiative. He said that the summer season is coming, hence the Municipal Corporation should ensure regular water supply in 106 wards. Meanwhile, the residents of Chhutha Danga heaved a sigh of relief as the water problem that lasted for five days was resolved.
