In front of the DBC Maithon administrative building, in the presence of former MLA of Nirsa Assembly of Jharkhand, Arung Chatterjee, a protest was held in support of the shopkeepers of Maithon dump. Allegations were made that CISF resorted to lathicharge. More than 6 protesters were injured in the accident. Along with this, several cars were also vandalized. This incident took place in front of the Maithon administrative building on Thursday. It is known about the incident. When the protest failed to start, the DBC started fighting with the CISF forces and this led to unrest leading to stone pelting. The CISF forces started a lathicharge. More than six protesters were injured in this incident. Those who are being treated at DBC BP Nyogidi Hospital. Former MLA Arjun Chatterjee said, DBC wants to demolish the shops of poor people who have been running shops in Maithon for so many years. And we have launched a movement against this decision of DBC. Let us start a peaceful protest on Thursday. Now CISF forces have resorted to atrocities. Demands have been made to DBC officials for the last one month to solve the problem. Still, DBC authorities are indifferent. In view of this, if any protest was held on this day, CISF resorted to inhumane lathi charge. Due to which many of their party leaders and protesters got injured. Regarding the incident, CCISF informed that the protestors first started pelting stones and in response CCISF resorted to lathi charge.
