Balurghat, South Dinajpur: Separate counter opened for elderly and special needs customers at Balurghat Post Office. Indian Postal Department claims this facility for the first time in Uttar Pradesh. Union Deputy Minister Dr. Sukant Majumdar inaugurated two counters on the ground floor of Balurghat post office on Thursday.

Incidentally, the elderly and people with special needs had to face problems in climbing the stairs at Balurghat Head Post Office. For a long time, there was a demand for a separate counter for them. Finally, that demand was fulfilled and the elders with special needs were happy.

Union Education Minister Dr. Sukant Majumdar said, "This separate counter is a big convenience for the elderly and special needs customers. We want to solve their problems."

The residents of Balurghat thanked the Indian Postal Department for this initiative.
