Fearless Bengali: Asha workers have been protesting for the last one month with various demands. On 21st, when they go to meet the health officials in Kolkata, they are stopped at various places in the state and Asha workers are made to wait in front of the Health Bhawan of Kolkata. On Thursday, ASHA workers of Asansol industrial area of West Bengal district marched from the city bus stand to Kolkata's Swasthya Bhavan on Wednesday to protest against the transfer of ASHA workers. An ASHA worker said that their demand would be to pay Rs 15 thousand monthly but the Chief Minister is not agreeing to their demand, instead of paying them he is giving them various allowances including money storage, if their demand is not accepted in the coming days, the elections of 85 thousand ASHA workers of the state will be canceled.
