In Asansol city of West Bengal district, ordinary voters were seen gathering in crowd at the District Magistrate's office since morning. Allegedly, after the SIR (Summary Intensive Revision) process, many people's names were left out from the final voter list. As a result, people are running to the administrative offices to get their names re-registered. Kundan Sharma, a resident of Dhruvukbanga, said that after 2002, he bought a house and started living in that area. Even after submitting all the required documents at the time of SIR, his name was not listed. Even after submitting the information earlier, his name has been left out of the final list, he claims. He further said, submitted all the documents again. Still, if the name does not appear, then you will not be able to apply for voting rights. Besides, he expressed fear that in future, going to the local public representative for any work and not voting could create a problem. Similar complaints were heard from many more voters. They are worried about how to get quick solution after leaving the name. It is known that the matter is being looked into from the administration's side, but this situation has naturally increased the concern before the elections.
