Attempt to break into Trinamool's stronghold Asansol North, BJP's door-to-door public relations campaign

Asansol, West Bengal To strengthen its hold in Asansol North assembly constituency, BJP has intensified its public relations campaign. Party leaders and workers are continuously seen active in the area with the aim of making a dent in this seat held by Trinamool Congress. BJP state level leader Krishnendu Mukherjee along with local leaders Krishna Prasad, Amita C, Vigu Thakur, Pradeep Singh, Madan Mohan Choubey, Kartik Das, Bablu Biswas and Kalyan Das are contacting people door-to-door through “Sankalp Yatra” in different areas. During this time, along with listening to the problems of the area, they are also taking suggestions related to development. BJP leaders say that their main goal is to provide employment to unemployed youth, provide basic facilities like water, electricity and roads in every village and city and extend the benefits of government schemes to the common people. Keeping this goal in mind, the party is already busy in preparations for the 2026 assembly elections. BJP is continuously running a public relations campaign not only in Asansol North but also in other eight assembly seats of the district. The party claims that it will give its full strength to win the upcoming elections with an overwhelming majority. It is noteworthy that Asansol North seat is currently in the possession of Trinamool Congress and the MLA from here is Malay Ghatak, who is also the Law Minister in the Mamata Banerjee government. He is counted among the influential leaders of the region. In such a situation, this seat is being considered challenging for BJP, but the party has intensified its strategy here and increased activism at the organizational level.
