Nirbheek Bengali, Asansol: A meeting was organized with representatives of various religious organizations in the initiative of Asansol South Police Station on Sunday to increase awareness about noise pollution control and sound related laws. Officials of various religious institutions including temples, mosques, gurus and churches were present in the meeting. There, what are the guidelines as per Sound Pollution Act and what are the rules to be followed while using loudspeakers, it is explained in detail. It is informed by the police administration that this initiative has been taken so that no wrong message is sent and no untoward situation is created in future. Officer-in-Charge of Asansol South Police Station Vishwajim Mukherjee said, representatives of various religious organizations have been made aware about what to do as per the law. Today, ACP Abdul Gaffar said, "The officials of all the religious organizations including Gurudwara, Church, Temple, Mosque were called. Everything was explained in detail regarding the sound related law of 2000."
