The Asansol Municipal Corporation has taken the initiative to clean the city with a suction-jet machine, Minister Agnimitra Paul warns of FIR for water theft

Nirbheek Bengali, Asansol: To make Asansol city more clean and beautiful, Asansol Municipal Corporation has started state-of-the-art suction-jet cleaning machine. State City and Urban Development Minister Agnimitra Pal inaugurated this special machine at a function organized in Asansol city center on Wednesday afternoon. The minister said that the use of the machine is formally started on this day in the presence of the Municipal Commissioner, Secretary and other officials. With the help of jet and suction technology, the dirt accumulated on the roadside will be cleaned quickly. As a result, it will be easier to maintain the cleanliness of the city's roads and important areas, says the Ashapur administration. Agnimitra Pal said, this machine will be used in Asansol city as well as in the urban areas where more garbage accumulates. For now the work has started with one machine but there are plans to bring more such machines in future. Regular cleaning work will be carried out on the main roads, market areas and other important places of the city. The minister further said that the city administration is making all-out efforts to keep the city clean. But along with the administration, citizens also have to be aware and responsible. The more aware the common people are, the easier it will be to keep the city clean. This day the minister gave a strong message regarding the allegation of water theft. He said that if there is evidence of allegations like taking illegal connection to the main water supply line, stealing water by bursting a pipe or setting up a motor vehicle to personally take water from the area to home, strict action will be taken against the concerned person. He warned that an FIR would be filed if necessary. According to Minister Agnimitra Pal, the administration is in a strict position to maintain the cleanliness of the city and ensure equal supply of drinking water to all citizens. Therefore, he appealed to the citizens to follow the rules and refrain from water wastage and illegal water usage.
