আসানসোলে বিনামূল্যে HPV টিকাকরণ কর্মসূচি শুরু, কিশোরীদের সুরক্ষায় বিশেষ উদ্যোগ

Fearless Bengali, Asansol: Free HPV vaccination program has been started across the state in a joint initiative of the Government of India and the State Government to prevent oral cancer. As part of that, a special vaccination camp was organized at Asansol District Hospital on Thursday. In this school, HPV vaccine is being given to adolescent girls aged 9 to 14 years. According to health experts, taking this vaccine at a certain age significantly reduces the risk of cervical cancer. As a result, it is considered an important step in preventing this disease in future. On this day, Asansol North MLA Krishnandu Mukherjee and Pandaveshwar MLA Dr. Bijan Mukherjee visited the vaccination center. They observe the vaccination process and talk to parents. Also appeal to everyone to cover girls with this vaccine. The legislator said that this program is very important in ensuring the good health of adolescent girls. She is optimistic that many girls will be protected from the risk of cervical cancer in the future through this initiative of the government. According to the District Health Department, this vaccination program will be conducted in all the block and municipal areas of the district in a phased manner. There is also a plan to vaccinate adolescent girls by going to school. There will be no cost for taking the vaccine. The vaccine can be taken only with Aadhaar card and guardian's consent letter.
